Terms of Service
Last updated: April 27, 2026
By creating an account and using CasePilot (“the Service”), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
User responsibility for AI output
CasePilot uses AI models to analyze your documents and generate draft text. AI systems can make errors, misread documents, draw incorrect inferences, and generate plausible- sounding text that is factually wrong. Every piece of AI-generated content in CasePilot is marked [DRAFT — ATTORNEY REVIEW REQUIRED].
You are solely responsible for verifying every citation, every quote, and every claim in any AI-generated output before you use it in any court filing, legal correspondence, or official proceeding. CasePilot provides source citations to facilitate this verification — you must actually perform the verification. Filing inaccurate or fabricated citations in court can have serious legal consequences.
Acceptable use
CasePilot is designed for:
- —Personal use in family law matters, including divorce, child custody, child support, and related proceedings.
- —Use by self-represented litigants preparing their own case materials.
- —Use by licensed attorneys as a research and drafting tool for their own clients.
You may not use CasePilot to:
- —Process documents belonging to other people without their consent.
- —Redistribute, resell, or sublicense the Service or its outputs commercially.
- —Upload documents that are subject to a court order prohibiting disclosure to cloud services, unless you have confirmed compliance.
- —Attempt to extract training data, reverse-engineer model behavior, or probe the system in ways not authorized by these Terms.
- —Use the Service for any criminal purpose or in violation of applicable law.
Account termination
You may close your account at any time by contacting privacy@casepilot.com. Upon closure, your account data and uploaded documents will be permanently deleted within 30 days.
We may suspend or terminate your account immediately if you violate these Terms, engage in abusive behavior toward our systems or staff, or if we are required to do so by law. In the event of termination for cause, we will provide a reasonable opportunity to export your data unless prohibited by law.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, CasePilot and its operators are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service, including any errors in AI-generated output, any harm resulting from reliance on that output, or any loss of data.
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” We make no warranty that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI-generated content will be accurate, complete, or suitable for any legal purpose.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Oregon, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any dispute arising under these Terms shall be resolved in the courts of Multnomah County, Oregon, and you consent to personal jurisdiction there.
Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms at any time. We will notify registered users of material changes by email at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
